Moving On Up

Well kids...this is my last week living in SOUTH Georgia. I will be moving at the end of the week to our state's fine, sprawling metropolitan area known at Atlanta. Ever heard of it?

I start next Monday at my new job, and although I won't go into much detail just for privacy issues, I will say that I will be doing a lot of traveling around Atlanta every day and I should probably learn to golf, ha! I have been spending the past week and a half doing major packing, and with Taylor being away this summer I am having to pack up two years of our lives by myself. Really, I haven't minded because I am a freak and like to pack things, and it has given me something to occupy my time after work.

With the exception of a couple cabinets in the kitchen and the items I use every day, I am ready to rock and roll. I am going to be kind of squatting for a few weeks at my friend Kaitlyn's place on her supposedly comfortable couch, and then I will either be staying with my older brother or my aunt until Taylor can land a job and we can get our own place. It is going to be an interesting set of transitions, but I'm so ready for it!

I am most excited about being around my friends again. The majority of them graduated with me 2 years ago and moved on right away, so it has been a few years of me and a bunch of boys, a.k.a. Taylor's friends. Don't get me wrong, I love those boys like family, but there's nothing like having your girlfriends around. Since graduating I have become so much closer to my sorority sisters (kind of backwards, right?) and they all seem so excited for me to join them up in the ATL. That much love is a great feeling, y'all.

On top of that, I will now be in the same city as big bro, my aunt and uncle and some of my cousins. The only thing that could make this better would be if my parents lived there as well, but that's a fact of life that I'm still trying to get used to. Montana is just TOO far away and twice a year is not okay.

I'll send updates along the way.

Okay...let's do this.Pin It
